3. PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY
PROFESSIONAL CLEANING – SCALE AND POLISH To clear the teeth of tartar build-up and accumulated plaque in hard-to-reach areas. Treatment recommended on a 6-monthly basis and carried out by one of our qualified Oral Hygienists.
FLUORIDE TREATMENT A liquid or gel applied to the teeth by the Oral Hygienist after the scale and polish. Fluoride is a mineral that helps prevent tooth decay by making the tooth more resistant to acid-attacks from plaque bacteria and sugars in the mouth. It can also reverse early decay and in children under 6 years it gets incorporated into the developing permanent teeth.
FISSURE SEALANTS a tooth-coloured material is applied to the biting surface of a tooth, covering the pits and fissures that are susceptible to decay. Sealants are indicated for children and adults who are at moderate to high risk of developing dental caries or have incipient caries in pits and fissures.

5. ROOT CANAL THERAPY
Treatment for the pulp of a tooth to eliminate infection and protect the tooth against future infection. The procedure involves removing the tissues(blood vessel and nerve) from the nerve canal and subsequently cleaning, shaping and filling these canals. The treatment could be completed in one or multiple visits.
